The Compliance Officer handles three general areas of responsibility:
- Compliance with Equal Opportunity Policies
- Grade Grievance Procedures
- Equal opportunity (E.O.) in Hiring
The Compliance Officer's duties include investigations and mediations of complaints of discrimination, responding to inquiries, advising and providing training to promote an equitable environment for students and staff.Training programs include the training of equal opportunity representatives who serve on hiring committees. The Compliance Office attempts to resolve grade grievances and facilitates the filing, hearing and processing of grade grievances.
In addition, the Compliance Office assists with recruitment of faculty, the training of selection committees, and the monitoring of the hiring process for compliance with non-discrimination policies.

Board Rule XV: Sexual Harassment. The complaint forms are available in the Compliance Office, call ext.2462.
Board Rule XVI: Sexual Assault. In addition to filing a complaint with the Police, these matters may be handled as Sexual Harassment.
